Celebrating Turning 60

Best friends since the early days of elementary school, we have decided we no longer need physical gifts to celebrate milestones or holidays. What we treasure are experiences, and the memories that come with going on these experiences together.

 

We both turned 60 in 2023. That was surprising to both of us honestly.

I am Laura, and I work in talent acquisition at a large pediatric hospital in central Ohio. My good friend, Eileen, has retired from teaching special education and lives in southwest Ohio.

 

We asked, 'Where should we go to commemorate this birthday?' Europe, of course, but the decision wasn't easy.  I had never been to Europe, so I would go anywhere. Eileen is a bit more well-traveled, so we needed it to be a unique experience for her too. We landed on Spain, and what a great decision that was.
