We visited many churches, some we just passed by while walking and some like this one are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. No matter how big or small, the windows are memorable. Just have a seat and pause...

Christopher Columbus is buried here. As I'm from the Columbus, OH, this is interesting. The city of Columbus has removed statues of Chris, noting his history in the new world.

Take the trip up the towers. The bells are divine. If they ring when you are up there, be prepared to jump!
Alcazar
The oldest royal palace in Europe that is still in use today, it dates back to the 11th century, when the Muslim authorities decided to build a fortress in a strategic location to protect the city.

Alcazar is of cultural and artistic value. It is like visiting an art museum as you walk through the rooms and gardens.

What did we learn?
1. Time really does fly when you are on the move.
2. This was a vacation for people who love to do and see and keep moving. It was positively energizing and just a bit exhausting.
3. Brian, our leader, was the perfect mix of being there when we needed him and letting us figure some things out on our own.
4. Our buddies, Judy and Sean, made sure the bus didn't leave without us.
5. Clarissa taught us how to order something more resembling the coffee we needed--cafe con leche.
6. Most importanly--bring a Rick Steves Hideaway Tote for your souvenirs (new carry-on) and check that carry-on on the way home. For the win!
